Jeugd en Muziek
Jeugd & Muziek Vlaanderen is the Flemish branch of the international federation Jeunesses Musicales International. Founded in Brussels in 1945 with the mission to "enable young people to develop through music across all boundaries", it is now the largest youth music NGO in the world, with member organizations in 45 countries and contact organizations in another 35. This collaboration gives ‘Jeugd & Muziek’ access to educational tools and artistic productions, developed at IPEM, and allows IPEM collaborators to do research in an educational context.
From 2010 to the end of 2011, Klankrups was selected for inclusion in the touring program of Jeugd & Muziek Vlaanderen. This means the social sound game for auditory training was offered to all primary schools and music educational institutions in Flanders. This gave us the opportunity to do usability research for this specific application.
